12th Panafrican Congress

The 12th Congress of the Panafrican Archaeological Association for Prehistory and Related Studies was held July 3-10, 2005, in Gaborone, Botswana.

The conference programme (!) and session abstracts are available from the conference web site as downloadable Word documents. Among the topics covered were Archaeology of the Shahse-Limpopo and Adjacent Areas; Ethnoarchaeology; Heritage Management and Development; and Rock and Symbolic Behaviour.

The final papers will be published at an unspecified future date.
