The Soul Beat is the e-publication of Soul Beat Africa, a website that serves as a forum for the discussion, dissemination, promotion, and communication of issues concerning Africa. New issues of The Soul Beat are published every other Wednesday and concentrate on a wide range of topics from agriculture to youth. Issue number 35 focuses on libraries. Topics include the different kinds collections housed in African libraries, their individual missions and challenges, and the roles that they serve in African society. There are also a handful of helpful links to internet and computing resources and online journals.
