Observatory, 2008 [image above]Long Island City, NY (August 15, 2008) — Socrates Sculpture Park is pleased to
announce three new works by Leyden Rodriguez-Casanova, Frances Trombly, and Barbara Westermann. The three installations are part of the Park’s ongoing series called Open Space, a forum for single artist and collaborative projects that run concurrently with Socrates’ group exhibitions. The projects will be on view from September 2008 through March 2009, and will open on Sunday, September 7th from 2-6pm, with a joint reception for Open Space and Socrates’ EAF08: 2008 Emerging Artist Fellowship Exhibition.
