Announcing the new arts collaborative "Furthermore"
Furthermore:
...creates sustainable, experimental, and entrepreneurial models for artists to thrive on their own terms without compromising artistic integrity and vision.
...collaborates with artists, curators, collectors, and the public at large in making contemporary art useful and accessible. This is done through the company's four facets - PRINT, COLLECT, DESIGN, EXHIBIT - each of them devised to circumvent bottlenecks in the areas of production, dissemination, and demonstration.
Furthermore is:
* an archival print shop for artists and curatorial initiatives
* a platform to support and collect contemporary art
* a line of innovative/functional products designed by visual artists
* an exhibition space featuring an international curatorial program and artists working in all disciplines
Each facet will be inaugurated sequentially starting in 2010 and exist in a range of virtual dimensions and physical locations throughout the world.
Furthermore is led by José Ruiz, a NYC-based artist and curator.
