The Pieces of Cente's Body

The continuing saga of Rosa Luz Santiago de Jesus, a woman desperate
for love amidst Brooklyns' pansexual, multicultural artists, dancers,
and santero priests.

Blue Torn Petals

A poetic piece exploring inner feelings of frustration. A dark view
looking through this artist's clouded window to the outside world.

Operation Invert
Dir: Tara Mateik, 2003, USA, video, 7 min.
Operation Invert compares the different regulations mediating
botox-related plastic surgery and gender reassignment "sex change."
Historical medial assessments of the invert (homosexual and
transsexual) "condition" reveal seemingly outdated absurdities about
outsider deviance.
Looks Like A Girl

The Naked-Boy Business

A tongue-in-cheek(s) take on straight boys' attitudes about the
sexualized male body, using man-on-the-street interviews, "found"
footage of modern-day semi-nude celebrities, sexy excerpts of the
director's own work, and new video footage shot by That naked-Boy
legend, Peter Berlin.
Rosa Negra, episode 2: Como Corre el Amor

The second installment of the pansexual, multicultural telenovela spoof
continues with its adventures of sexy butches, knife-wielding
girlfriends and sexy Latin@s in seedy back rooms. This time Rosa is
kicked out of love again into the arms of gay-for-pay hustler Fabian
Pornundo (portrayed by porn star, Tiger Tyson). Unusual hijinks ensue
as we follow Rosa and her gaggle of gay, transgendered, and even
straight friends and their love lives in downtown NYC.
DIRECTIONS TO BAAD!
By Car from MANHATTAN, EASTSIDE:
Take FDR drive north to the Willis Ave. Bridge Exit (just after 96th
St.). Stay in right lane crossing over bridge. Immediately after
crossing over the bridge, veer right. At the bottom of the exit there
will be a light. Make a right onto Bruckner Blvd. Go straight and stay
to your right. 2 to 3 lights down, a large black building with an
"S&J" sign on the top of it and a neon sign of a woman in a
champagne glass splits the road. Stay to the right of building.
Immediately past the building you will see an overpass. Cross
underneath the overpass and make an immediate left. Stay to the right
continuing on the road. You will eventually be underneath the Bruckner
expressway. Make a right onto Barretto Street. Go one and a half
blocks. 841 Barretto will be on your right.
#6 TRAIN:
Take the #6 to Hunts Point Avenue. Cross under the Bruckner Expressway
to Garrison Avenue (1 Block). Make a right onto Garrison Avenue and
walk two blocks to Barretto Street. Make a left onto Barretto Street
and walk up to middle of block to BAAD! on the right-hand side, red
door.
#2 and #5 TRAINS:
Take the 2 or 5 trains to Simpson Street. Walk along Southern Blvd.
until it intersects with 163rd Street and Hunts Point Avenue. You will
see the elevated Bruckner Expressway. Cross under the Bruckner
Expressway until you reach Garrison Ave. Make a right on Garrison Ave
and walk two blocks to Barretto Street. Make a left onto Barretto
Street and walk up to middle of block to BAAD! on the right hand side,
red door.
