Thembi was invited to be part of a CNN panel on AIDS that was broadcasted throughout the world weekend around May 1st. She was the only young person living with AIDS among a group of panelists that included: former President Bill Clinton, Paul Farmer of Partners in Health, the heads of Pfizer, Worldvision, CARE, Doctors Without Borders, and actor Richard Gere.
