London
based artist
Ben Judd will premiere a new performance created
specifically for
To Believe. Through video and
performance, Judd explores his relationship to specific groups and
individuals who have their own rules and belief systems. Part of his
interest in these belief systems is to position himself as both
participant and observer when making the work, and to test the extent
and nature of his own beliefs and preconceptions.
Blanko
& Noiry a trio consisting of
To Believe artist
Frank
Haines with legendary electronic music innovator
Chris Kachulis
and
Reuben Lorch-Miller will be performing a musical set where
Kachulis channels songs he wrote in 1969. Blanko & Noiry combine
occult ritual, electronic dissonance, and art history to create a
spectacle of sound and performance.
All events are
free
and at La MaMa La Galleria.
